Los campos de golf de Reserva Conchal y Hacienda Pinilla fueron las sedes donde se llevó a cabo la edición numero  24 del Torneo de Golf Guanacaste Classic, que como en años anteriores reunió a entusiastas jugadores experimentados y amateur para cubrir los 18 hoyos de cada campo.

El evento tuvo lugar el sábado 25 de julio en Reserva Conchal y el cierre en Hacienda Pinilla el domingo 26 cuando se procedió a la premiación.

Carlos Rojas,  Director de Golf de Reserva Conchal expresó su satisfacción por cuanto desde días previos al evento se contaba con el cupo necesario de jugadores de diferentes partes del país e incluso  extranjeros deseosos de demostrar sus habilidades en el marco de la conmemoración del 202 aniversario de la Anexión del Partido de Nicoya a Cosa Rica

Rojas señaló que  la participación de 100 golfitas que disputaron dos rondas, la primera de ellas en Reserva Conchal y la segunda en Hacienda Pinilla demostró que el evento ha despertado mucho entusiasmo como en ocasiones anteriores en las cuales el objetivo es celebrar la fiesta de la Anexión en un ambiente de camaradería y sana competencia.

Un elemento novedoso es que  este año el torneo contó con la participación de golfistas femeninas procedentes de  Estados Unidos.

El Director de Golf  de Reserva Conchal puntualizó que a  pesar de que los campos de Reserva Conchal y Hacienda Pinilla han sufrido el efecto adverso de la falta de lluvias provocada por el fenómeno El Niño, lucieron en buenas condiciones para que los golfistas lograran el mejor desempeño en las dos jornadas en que debieron jugar con la mayor concentración para mantener el standard, por cuanto se trataba de lograr un score acumulativo.

Rojas agradeció el apoyo de los patrocinadores como a los medios de comunicación que cubrieron el torneo, en particular el Periódico Guanacaste a la Altura.

La premiación consistió en  la entrega de trofeos para cada una de las categorías, en la rama amateur en la cual no se estila dar premios en efectivo pero si en especie como estadías en hoteles de Guanacaste y rondas de golf.

Guanacaste Classic Tournament was held celebrating the importance of the Annexation

The golf courses at Reserva Conchal and Hacienda Pinilla served as the venues for the 24th edition of the Guanacaste Classic Golf Tournament, which, as in previous years, brought together enthusiastic, experienced, and amateur players to complete the 18 holes at each course.

The event took place on Saturday, July 25, at Reserva Conchal, with the closing ceremony at Hacienda Pinilla on Sunday, July 26, when the awards ceremony was held.

Carlos Rojas, Golf Director at Reserva Conchal, expressed his satisfaction, noting that in the days leading up to the event, the necessary number of players from different parts of the country, and even from abroad, had already registered, eager to demonstrate their skills as part of the commemoration of the 202nd anniversary of the Annexation of the Partido de Nicoya to Costa Rica.

Rojas noted that the participation of 100 golfers who competed in two rounds, the first at Reserva Conchal and the second at Hacienda Pinilla, demonstrated that the event has generated great enthusiasm, as in previous editions, in which the objective is to celebrate the Annexation festivities in an atmosphere of camaraderie and healthy competition.

A new element this year was the participation of female golfers from the United States

The Golf Director at Reserva Conchal pointed out that despite the fact that the Reserva Conchal and Hacienda Pinilla courses have been affected by the lack of rainfall caused by the El Niño phenomenon, they were in good condition, allowing golfers to achieve their best performance during the two rounds, in which they had to play with the greatest concentration in order to maintain the standard, since the goal was to achieve a cumulative score.

Rojas thanked the sponsors, as well as the media outlets that covered the tournament, particularly the Guanacaste a la Altura Newspaper.

The awards ceremony consisted of presenting trophies for each category. In the amateur division, cash prizes are not customary, but prizes in kind are awarded, such as stays at hotels in Guanacaste and rounds of golf.
