Fleet of Taxis Showcases the Essence of “Pura Vida” Through the Cities of Nantes, Lyon, Marseille, and Nice
The Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT) launched a striking promotional activation in the busiest streets of four major French cities. Since the last week of April and throughout the months of May and June, a fleet of 118 electric and hybrid taxis were literally transformed into “Costa Rican vehicles,” covered with images showcasing the most attractive aspects of Costa Rica’s biodiversity, emblematic attractions, and tourism activities in the cities of Nantes, Lyon, Marseille, and Nice.
This effort is part of high-impact actions aimed at consolidating Costa Rica’s positioning in the European market, and a total of 236 advertising panels were installed to “dress” the vehicles with images from the campaign “Start Living, Pura Vida,” recently launched exclusively in Europe and adapted with messages in French for this particular case.
These images printed on the taxis display our majestic cloud forests, the serenity of our beaches, and the characteristic greenery of Costa Rican landscapes, adventure activities, hanging bridges, canopy tours, always accompanied by the phrase “Revelez Vos Sens,” designed to motivate potential French tourists to start living new transformative experiences on their next vacation in Costa Rica.
Marcela Bonilla, from the ICT Brand and Communications Department, highlighted that it is essential to constantly innovate with high-impact outdoor advertising brand presence in cities that concentrate potential tourists. “This action allows us to directly impact the target audience during their daily commutes, keeping Costa Rica as a priority option for their next trip,” she stated.w
