¿Qué es?
Kiteboarding es un deporte acuático que se originó a finales de la década de 1970 en el sur de Francia. Se caracteriza por combinar elementos de otras disciplinas como el windsurf, el wakeboard, el parapente, el skate, el snowboard y, por supuesto, el surf.
La fuerza del viento es el motor y se utiliza una tabla y una cometa para impulsarse por el agua. Se puede practicar sobre grandes olas, mares agitados o hasta en lagunas tranquilas que practican más de un millón y medio de personas en el mundo y que tendrá su debut olímpico en las Olimpiadas de París 2024.
Bahía Salinas bañado por el océano Pacífico, muy cercano de la frontera de Costa Rica con Nicaragua, tiene un oleaje tiende muy bajo y la temperatura del agua es agradable durante todo el año condiciones que fueron tomadas en cuenta para organizar una exhibición de riders profesionales el pasado marzo lo que constituyó todo un éxito.

What is?
Kiteboarding is a water sport that originated in the late 1970s in the south of France. It is characterized by combining elements from other disciplines such as windsurfing, wakeboarding, paragliding, skateboarding, snowboarding and, of course, surfing.
The force of the wind is the engine and a board and a kite are used to propel themselves through the water. It can be practiced on big waves, rough seas or even in calm lagoons, it’s practiced by more than a million and a half people in the world and that will have its Olympic debut at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Bahía Salinas, bathed by the Pacific Ocean, very close to the border between Costa Rica and Nicaragua, has very low waves and the water temperature is pleasant throughout the year, conditions that were taken into account to organize an exhibition of professional riders on last March which was a complete success.
