- Estados Unidos, Canadá y Suiza son los tres principales mercados que aumentarán la frecuencia de vuelos.
El aeropuerto Daniel Oduber anunció que tendrá un aumento de frecuencias para la temporada alta -que comprende desde noviembre 2022 hasta abril 2023- comparado con el mismo período del año anterior.
Este aumento de frecuencias proviene mayoritariamente de Estados Unidos, Canadá y Suiza.
American Airlines desde Dallas pasará a tener un vuelo diario de diciembre 2022 hasta abril de 2023, mientras la temporada anterior voló de una a cuatro veces a la semana. Por su parte, el servicio desde Charlotte aumentará de uno semanal a diario.
Alaska Airlines pasará de entre cuatro y seis vuelos semanales, a volar ocho veces desde Los Ángeles. Esta tendencia se mantendrá en el periodo que va desde diciembre de este año hasta abril del próximo.
Adicionalmente, aerolíneas como Delta, United, Southwest y Jetblue también aumentarán frecuencias durante este periodo.
Desde la ciudad de Toronto, Air Transat aumentará de 1 a 3 vuelos semanales; Westjet desde este mismo origen, volará 5 operaciones semanales y Air Canada pasará de 5 semanales a uno diario.
Por su parte, la aerolínea Suiza Edelweiss duplicó su servicio desde el 2 de noviembre, operando ahora dos veces a la semana.
A partir del 17 de septiembre la aerolínea Frontier introduce su nueva ruta desde Atlanta. Al día siguiente, Sunwing reactivará una ruta triangulada desde Edmonton y Calgary, lo que refuerza el posicionamiento del mercado canadiense en Guanacaste.
La mayoría de nuevas frecuencias operarán a partir de la segunda quincena de noviembre que coincide con la festividad de Acción de Gracias estadounidense que se celebra este jueves 24 de noviembre. Este comportamiento se mantendrá hasta las celebraciones de Semana Santa de 2023.
César Jaramillo, gerente general de Guanacaste Aeropuerto -marca con la que opera VINCI Airports el aeropuerto guanacasteco- indicó: “Estamos impulsando la movilidad positiva de Vinci Airports. Con el anuncio del aumento de frecuencias y el inicio de la temporada alta vemos que la estrategia de desarrollo de rutas ha dado buenos frutos. Nos sentimos muy entusiasmados por el posicionamiento de Guanacaste como destino turístico”.
Guanacaste Airport Announces an increase in flights frequency
- The United States, Canada and Switzerland are the three main markets that will increase the frequency of flights.
The Daniel Oduber airport announced that it will have an increase of flights for the high season, which runs from November 2022 to April 2023, compared to the same period of the previous year.
This increase comes mainly from the United States, Canada and Switzerland.
American Airlines from Dallas will have a daily flight from December 2022 to April 2023, while the previous season there were flights one to four times a week. In the same way, the service from Charlotte will increase from one weekly to one flight daily.
